Biography
I was born in 1984, the same year as the original Apple Macintosh. Knowing I had always been curious about technology, Santa Claus brought me a Commodore 64 when I was five years old. And thus chaos began.
Fast forward a few years, and my first actual PC came along: a lightning fast machine based on a Cyrix 486DLC-25 and 4 MB of RAM that run MS-DOS 5.0. I went through several operating systems, finally reaching the Internet in December 1996.
Starting in 2000, I have been working (whilst going to school) as a PHP developer. My first check was a real thrill. I have been using PHP since it was version 3, and MySQL since it was version 3.23. I have worked on very different projects, ranging from the self-service interface for the customers of a small ISP to client-tailored e-commerce platforms. I'm also familiar with Python, which is effectively my language of choice for anything non-web.
I have recently started doing webdesign work, endeavoring to follow the best and most widespread standards for maximum compatibility. That means that my products render properly even on the worst browser ever, Internet Explorer.
I have also published two photo-books. You can read more about them on the photography page.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, taking photos, studying languages and, generally, learning new things.
